Close! 다음 주 actually means 'next week' so I said "See you next week!".

주에 means 'week'?

주 means week, 에 is the “destination” particle (“at/to school” would be 학교에) so the literal meaning is “See you at/on the next week” but modern (American) English drops the preposition. (If you’re doing Renaissance Faire re-enactments however, you would say “See you on the morrow”) (did I explain it correctly, 선생님?)

Haha don’t take this too harshly bc I don’t mean it that way. But actually, I do not respond to “매간” bc that’s not my name. I’m named after a Blood, Sweat, and Tears song called Meagan’s Gypsy Eyes, which is pronounced “미근.”

If you insist on calling me something in Korean, call me “미경” which is what 엄마의 친구’s husband used to call me.

감사합니다 😊

So thrilled to connect with you and everyone here! Thank you for starting up this community it is a pleasure to be a part of it! Like those above mentioned - you wrote ‘see you next week’ which I learned as ‘다음주에 만나요‘ are they interchangeable?

Wishing you and everyone a lovely week ahead prepping for 대보렴!! 🤗🤗

Thank you so much Buster Moon. I am truly excited to learn more of your language. I have a friend who lives in korea, they speak english quite well, but id like to surprise them and one day answer back in Korean. I love Korea, it's a beautiful country steeped in rich history and traditions.
