I have a love/hate relationship with this idea, haha. I think it's a really good idea and it probably really effective and helpful. I just really struggle with consistency and being disciplined with new habits sometimes. I'm also worried about how busy I'll be with work and how much time I'll be able to dedicate to the course, and have a feeling I'll be frustrated with myself. But I also think it will be good to give me something to aim for, and since it's something fun and exciting that'll help me be more motivated.
Yeah so it's going to be really important what kind of goal you set! I would suggest setting it lower than what you want and see how it goes. If you are doing really well, you can always set it a little higher as you go right? The thing is we want to stay consistent!
Hi Hannah, your first goal should be then to make it a habit to you this tool and not get frustrated if you track too many red face emojis... 🙃 , and As Buster wrote, you may need to be able to identify the smallest activities you can build in to your schedule about Korean, but the one that would also give you satisfaction if you have achieved them. Later on, it will be quite easy to raise your expextations you set for yourself, cause it will become a passion to learn and practice.. Not easy to start, but if learning Korean (or doing other hobbies) make you happier in the end, it is only the difficult time management that hinders you, then it is worth trying, to become better self-organised, and find the time and way for your hobbies... Good luck! Fighting! 🥰
I didn't hesitate to sign-up for this new course because I know this method works... Suzuki has been proving this for years. The course you are describing creates the linguistic environment that parallels the way a toddler learns their native language. I tutor foreign students in English, and although I have to use the boring books the school provides, I frequently declare "Field Trip" and take my students out into the street, stores and cafes where they learn in real-life situations. My students learn faster, retain more and stay the course unlike so many others. Using K-dramas is a fun idea, very much the way I use field trips, poetry and children's stories to learn faster and better. I'm looking forward to this new class. Way to go, Buster!
Welcome to the team! I'm glad you are able to resonate with what I'm planning to do in the course and your feedback during the course would be appreciated as we are building it together. Let's go!
This template is like therapy 🤣 how satisfied are you about your day? 0% Buster Jkjk lol but I really do like the idea because everything seems hard at first until it becomes a habit. I think I’ll use it as well for other things I want to build a habit for. Also, great examples because I have a tendency to set too high of a goal.
Shadowing (in this scenario) is when you repeat words or whole sentences after a native speaker. So, you can shadow a person in real life or even tv shows and songs.
66 days challenge?? wow that's a brilliant idea. Sometimes it's not that we're unable to do it, it's just that we don't challenge ourselves to be able to do it. The 66s day challenge will 'force' ourselves to do it and make it much better.
안녕하세요. Me encanta la idea a mí también. Creo que es importante marcarse metas que alcanzar, pero sin agobios, metas que se adapten a tí, ser realista. Yo también estoy emocionada.
정말 감사합니다. Ah! Se me olvidaba. ¿ Hay algún problema con que escriba en español?
One of my secrets to stay consistent is always having a few study options prepared: one ideal one (probably the hardest), and a couple of easier options for days when I'm tired. This way, I have no reason to skip a single day!

I love that you're making things customizable for each of us and our goals. 감사합니다!

You are very welcome!

Will you explain shadowing in the course?
Shadowing (in this scenario) is when you repeat words or whole sentences after a native speaker. So, you can shadow a person in real life or even tv shows and songs.
Michelle explained it really well. We will talk more in depth when we get together in the community!

No it's not a problem at all! I like you typing in Spanish, it forces me to read and understand haha Muchas gracias Patricia!
Hola Patricia, de acuerdo con Buster, yo soy también encantada de leer y practicar un poco en espanol 😉
I’m seriously SO excited
Me too! I'll share more about my plan in the next few days!

Oh ok! Thanks for the explanation.
