안녕하세요 선생님! Interesting today's lesson, it's a pity that it is once a week. I had guessed some things (my university studies of linguistics were useful for something) and then confirmed by watching videos or searching on the internet and books.
Anyway congratulations, 우리 선생님, for always being clear and making the explanations simple and easily understandable. 👨🏫 문션 is the best teacher.
What about my hobbies? 저는 김필 사랑해요 (I meant "I love 김필's music"), 저는 부르요 👩🏼🎤. 저는 매일 10 km (?) 걷요🏃🏼♀️. 저는 한극어 배워요 👩🏼🎓🇰🇷.
Could I ask you a question? How do you join two sentences with the conjunction AND?
I apologize if I was long and I thank you in advance. 감사합니다 선생님!
I learned a little. It ist very good. But with my age of 68, I can only Take very little steps.
What I told in German Last time, was the fact, that I don't know the Hangul Alphabet and don't have possibility or knowledge how to use It with my Smartphone.
Ich möchte Ihnen sehr gerne helfen. I didn't understand if you were able to add the Korean alphabet to your mobile keyboard. If not, you could search on Google or another search engine "How to add another language to mobile phone keyboard". I can tell you that it is really very simple.
Hi Elyse! Great sentences! For your second sentence, you want to add an object just because the verb 읽다 usually goes with one. So you can say 저 책 읽어요, 저 신문 읽어요, etc.
"I like to sing" would be a little more complicated. 저 노래하는 거 좋아해요. We will get there eventually!😊
Hi Kelly! Great job! For the first one, you want to add an object just because the verb 읽다 usually goes with one. So you can say 저 책 읽어요, 저 신문 읽어요, etc.
In Korean, there is no such verb as "to bird". That's interesting and it sounds a little weird. I just went birding. I birded yesterday. You wanna go bird with me?😂
Instead of writing 좋아요, you should write 좋아해요 because this is the verb "to like". 좋아요 is technically a descriptive verb that means "to be good" although it is often used as "to like"!
I am really enjoying learning korean this way. But I have a request that if could you just write how to pronounce the words as well. I know somewhere it is written but not everytime. This could really help when we don't know how to read korean much.
Hi Poorvi, the reason I wrote it sparingly is because I would like you to force yourself to get used to Hangul as fast as you can. If I continue putting Romanization, you will likely depend on that. It's a dilemma for me too haha Let me think about it a little more! Thank you for your suggestion!😊

다음에 또 봐! 🙋🏼♀️💚
Thank you very much for your kind words every time! Let me correct some of your sentences:
- 저는 노래 불러요 or 노래해요
- 저는 매일 10킬로미터 걸어요
- 저는 한국어 배워요
Good try dropping 다 and adding 요 to conjugate the verbs! It works for some verbs but not for all of them and we will get there soon!
As for your question, the grammar form you need is "verb stem + 고"😊
화이팅!
화이팅?
그럼요 🏋🏼♂️

Doesn't matter...It's all very good. Thank you!

감사합니다! Thank you for the help! 😁
저 읽어요! 📚
저 달려요! 🏃♀️
저 한국어 배워요! 🇰🇷
I also “bird.” Birding has become a verb in English and has a different feel than “bird-watching.” Is there something similar in Korean? 🐦😄

Yes, that’s exactly how birders use the word in English! 😄 Is there a word for “bird watching” in Korean?
안녕하세요 선생님!🙇🏻♀️ Thank you once again for a great lesson! One among my hobbies is to eat Korean food, therefore 저 한국음식 먹어요 😊 (I hope it’s right 😅)
감사합니다! 🙏🏻
Hi Valentina! That's a great sentence! Where are you from? Is the food from your country good? (I'm sure it is😊)
Hi!^^ I’m from a small town near Milan 🇮🇹 and yes, the food there is really yummy and I miss it all the time! 😭 (as I live in 🇬🇧) 😊
Do you miss Korean food since living in🇨🇦?
안녕하세요! 저 어탈리아어, 하국어, 프랑스어 배워요. Please correct me if i misspelt Italian and French because i am not sure if i put them right in the sentence.
How do i say 'I like to sing'? So far, I am getting 처 노래 춯아해요 but i am sure that means 'i love the song'🤣🤣
Hey Andrea!
*저 이탈리아어, 한국어, 프랑스어 배워요.*
"I like to sing" is actually a little complicated in Korean than how you'd imagine. I'll just give you the answer for now! 저 노래하는 거 좋아해요!
Wow! That is difficult enough but at least i can read it! I even typed wrong🫣
고마워요
저 한국어 배 oh well, that's how far I got fighting the Korean keyboard... 🤣 How do I write "take photos" ?
Hi Sohia!
배워요 is the conjugation of the verb 배우다! "저 한국어 배워요."
"To take photos" in Korean would be 사진(을) 찍다.
저 사진 찍어요😊
저 춤 좋아요.
저 자동차 좋아요.
Who to write I like to drive a car.
Instead of writing 좋아요, you should write 좋아해요 because this is the verb "to like". 좋아요 is technically a descriptive verb that means "to be good" although it is often used as "to like"!
"I like to drive" in Korean would be 저 운전 좋아해요😊
저 하이킹해요 🥾🌲
Hi Maria! That's awesome!
저도 하이킹 좋아해요. I like hiking as well!😊
This was super helpful - thanks!
Hi Kim! You're very welcome!😊

안녕하세요 레오니 씨!
Your sentence was great and that's all I needed to see😊
저 그림 그려요 is something you can say. 그림 is a paint or picture, 그려요 is the conjugation of the verb 그리다 "to draw/ to paint".
See you next Sunday!
감사합니다
This is really helpful 😊
Hi Maribel! You're very welcome!😊
